GREENHILL HIRING PROCESS

1. Job Posting and Advertisement

2. Application Submission

  • Required documents include a cover letter, resume, and relevant certifications/licenses.
3. Initial Screening
  • Resumes and cover letters will be reviewed to shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.
  • Background checks will be conducted for teaching licenses or credentials.
4. Phone or Video Interview (Optional)
  • A brief initial interview may be conducted to evaluate communication skills, interest in the position, and basic qualifications.
  • Availability and certification/license details will be confirmed during this step.
5. In-Person or Panel Interview
  • Shortlisted candidates will participate in a comprehensive interview with a hiring committee, which may include the principal, administrators, teachers, and parents.
  • Role-specific questions will be asked, such as classroom management for teachers or health protocols for nurses.
6. Skill Assessment or Demonstration
  • Teachers: Candidates will deliver a teaching demonstration or sample lesson to showcase teaching methods, classroom management, and student engagement. They will also write a skill and assessment test.
  • Administrators: Organizational and problem-solving skills will be assessed through situational questions or case studies.
  • Janitors and Nurses: Technical knowledge, safety protocols, and emergency handling capabilities will be evaluated.
7. Reference Checks
  • Professional references will be contacted to verify work history, skills, and reliability.
  • For teaching positions, references may include previous principals or supervisors.
8. Background and Criminal Record Check
  • Criminal history will be verified to ensure candidates meet safety standards for working with children.
  • A Vulnerable Sector Check will be required in compliance with Canadian regulations.
9. Final Decision and Offer
  • Candidates will be selected based on interview performance, qualifications, and reference checks.
  • A formal job offer will be extended, including details about salary, benefits, and the start date.
10. Onboarding and Orientation
  • New hires will attend an onboarding session to learn about school policies, safety procedures, and expectations.
