Divisions:

• – Primary (Kindergarten to Grade 3)
• – Junior (Grades 4-6)
• – Intermediate (Grades 7-8)

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in subjects assigned to teach.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with Ontario curriculum standards and incorporate Islamic values.
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being.
• Assess and evaluate student progress using a variety of assessment methods, including quizzes, projects, and classroom participation.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress.
• Plan and lead extracurricular activities, school events, and field trips to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other school activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Incorporate technology and digital tools into the teaching process to enhance learning outcomes.
• Uphold and model Islamic values and principles in daily interactions and teaching practices.

• A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred).
• Teaching certification (OCT certification preferred) or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience teaching elementary-level students.

• Language Proficiency: Strong fluency in English.
• Classroom Management: Ability to establish clear expectations and manage student behaviour effectively.
• Adaptability: Skilled at adjusting teaching methods and strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Organization: Highly organized with excellent time management skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds, with a particular focus on Islamic values.
• Technological Proficiency: Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Classroom, and other educational technology tools.
• Initiative: Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently when necessary.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to actively engage in physical activities as part of teaching Physical Education (Gym).
