Volunteering at Greenhill islamic school

At GHI School, we believe that a strong, connected community is essential to nurturing a vibrant and supportive learning environment for our students. Volunteers play a significant role in helping us deliver enriching programs, maintain our school environment, and create memorable experiences for our students throughout the year.

We strongly welcome parents, family members, and community members to contribute their time and skills in any way possible. Whether it’s through supporting teachers and students in classrooms, helping with field trips and events, assisting in the office, decorating the school for events, or leading extracurricular activities, no contribution is too small!

Volunteer Requirements

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, all volunteers are required to provide a valid police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). This helps ensure the safety of our students at all times which remains our top priority.

 

Please note the following:

  • The VSC must be dated within the last 6 months.
  • Volunteers are required to obtain a new VSC every three (3) years.
  • If you already have a recent VSC, you may submit a copy as part of your application.
  • If you do not have a VSC or it is outdated, you can obtain one through your local police services. We are happy to support you with the process if you need any assistance.

 

In addition, all volunteers will be required to sign a school Confidentiality Agreement to protect the privacy and dignity of our students, families, and staff members.

We recognize the cost of completing a VSC can be a barrier for some volunteers. If this is a concern, please don’t hesitate to contact the school principal.
